As the economy shows signs of recovery, business owners are planning growth and expansion.  However, financing these plans continues to be very difficult.  Banks are lending but very cautiously and many business’ financials make it impossible to obtain traditional bank financing.  Other options are available though.  Join us to learn about other avenues you may use to finance your business growth plans.   You’ll walk away from this program knowing:

Presenters:

Michelle Goerdel, President, Biz Loan Link. Michelle is a “recovering banker” -after working in the commercial lending field for several years, she decided that her real passion was finding companies the funding needed to grow and thrive.  As an advocate for small and midsize businesses, she decrease the time and stress of looking for bank funding and new banking relationships by taking over the process and becoming the point person with the banks.  With her experience, she understands what the banks are looking for and can speak the “banker speak”, while at the same time helping businesses understand and successfully navigate the process.

Gary Ritner, Puget Sound Venture Club, dba Ritner & Company. Gary Ritner has been involved in the financial services industry for over 40 years.  For the last 30 years he has been self-employed in the investment banking field. His three main activities are raising funds for early stage companies, business brokerage, and consulting. Prior he was a stockbroker.

He has helped fund over thirty companies. He has brokered numerous business including a distribution company, a door manufacturer, and construction company. Presently, he is brokering a manufacturer of material handling equipment.

He is the founder and Manager of the Puget Sound Venture Club, a forum to review early-stage venture opportunities. Since the founding in 1985, present and past members, using the Club resources and their own contacts, have invested approximately $102 million in over 770 companies. Membership is restricted to accredited investors that have a minimum net worth, not including residence, of $1 million and some history of venture investing.

Michelle Bomberger, Managing Attorney, Equinox Business Law Group PLLC. Michelle Hayden Bomberger, founder and Managing Attorney of Equinox Business Law Group PLLC, is an experienced businesswoman turned lawyer.  Michelle began her career in business as a consultant with Ernst & Young LLP serving Fortune 500 clients and fur-ther deepened her knowledge of business operations as a Senior Manager of Auditing Services at Cingular Wireless.  Michelle founded Equinox in 2005 with a mission to help business owners and CEOs find balance in business.  Michelle attended graduate school at Northwestern University in Chicago, obtaining a JD from the School of Law and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  She has an undergraduate degree in Finance and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame.
